On-Leong Chinese Merchant Association (Miami) 2020 Officers Installation and New Year Party
On January 7, 2020, Florida Asian Services attended the Induction for 2020 Officers and New Year Party organized by On-Leong Chinese Merchant Association (Miami Chapter) from 6:00 pm to 9:30 pm at the On-Leong Chinese Merchant Association office in Miami, FL.
FAS was invited to the stage to give a short speech about Census 2020 to all participants. FAS talked about how Census 2020 is important to the funding allocation to state and local governments as every count representing money to the state and local government. FAS also reminded participants that there would be a self-identification ethnicity field on the form, and they should input all ethnicities they represent. It is related to the representation of the Chinese community. After the speech, FAS staffs passed out Chinese and English bilingual flyers to all participants.
